Reversing the one party domination and centralized control by State government means giving more authority to the counties. This can mean innovations like local school board in each county with a the ability to deal with issues involving their LOCAL schools.
Instituting a trustworthy method of establishing incorporated municipalities that serve and protect the unique differences of our local communities need a level playing field to contract for county services. The closer the government is to where the needs arises can be cheaper, better and get far more done then the present central monolith of State government, conflicted counties and under serviced towns and cities.
Nothing is more a part of good government than the local School Boards. Because of Hawaii’s century old habit of centralization, the once statewide elected School Board was changed, by vote,
